Welcome to Clear Vision
Implantable Contact Lenses in Queensland
Experience the ultimate freedom from glasses and traditional contact lenses with ICL surgery. This revolutionary vision correction procedure offers unparalleled clarity and comfort, providing a life-changing solution for those seeking excellent vision without the hassles of daily glasses and contact lens maintenance.
Advantages of ICL
ICLs offer a multitude of advantages over traditional eyewear and even other vision correction procedures:
-
Exceptional Clarity
ICLs provide superior visual acuity, often exceeding what is possible with glasses or regular contact lenses.
-
Long Term Correction
ICLs offer a long-term solution for vision correction, reducing or eliminating the need for additional procedures in the future.
-
Enhanced Comfort
Unlike traditional contacts, ICLs are placed inside the eye, eliminating the discomfort of dry eyes and irritation.
-
UV Protection
ICLs are designed to block harmful UV rays, providing added protection for your eyes.
What is ICL?
The ICL procedure involves placing an extremely thin and soft lens into the eye to correct vision without glasses or contact lenses. ICL is commonly called implantable contact lens as this is very similar to what the procedure achieves, but really ICL stands for implantable collamer lens. Collamer is the name of the special material used in the lens that is a combination of collagen and polymer.
Are You a Candidate?
ICLs are ideal for individuals looking for a permanent vision correction solution who may not be suitable candidates for LASIK or PRK. Candidates for ICL should:
Be over 21 years old
Have stable vision for at least one year
Have no history of eye diseases such as glaucoma or cataracts
Have a precription within the range of ICL – often severe myopia (short-sightedness) or moderate to severe hyperopia (far-sightedness). Astigmatism up to 5D
The ICL Procedure
The ICL procedure is a quick and painless procedure that typically takes less than 30 minutes per eye. ICL is performed in a day hospital and you will be asleep with heavy sedation throughout. A tiny incision is made in the cornea, and the ICL is inserted behind the iris and in front of the natural lens. Most patients experience improved vision immediately after the procedure, with minimal discomfort.
Cost & Financing Options
The cost of ICL surgery can vary depending on individual factors such as the complexity of the procedure and the technology used. Our practice offers transparent pricing and flexible financing options to make ICL surgery accessible to all patients. During your consultation, we will provide you with a detailed cost estimate based on your specific needs.
